Andrew,
Yeah, you would think that kind of stuff would be more apparent, and that we wouldn't have to read a book where a guy lays it out in order to pick up on it. That's cool that you're doing the same type of thing with international students; I would love to here how that goes!

Chris,
I really like this "change" even though this principle/strategy has always been there in the parable. Why does it take us so long to realize this? We are really trying to implement this also in our ministry to international students.

Hey guys, thanks for the comments, great to hear from you! When Erin started dabbling in blogging a couple of years ago, I scoffed at it a bit, thinking it was little more than on online diary, and who would want to read that. It was only recently that I recognized blogging for the powerful tool it can be. We're kind of feeling our way along in our church planting efforts, so I'll continue to share that process. We'll try and make lots of mistakes, so everyone can learn a lot of things not to do ;)

Hi Chris, the book by Neil Cole sounds awesome! But praises to God for the parable! God continues to pour out His wisdom in us, and I appreciate you sharing it here. I am going to share it with our Hispanic leadership team as we have experienced some similar situations. I too want to be a good steward of the time, treasures and talents that God has given, and "time is of the essence". I look forward to reading more, and Happy Blogging to you!
