Well, after 24 days, I got back too, to Mexico. I was privileged to travel with Grant and Chris, and be part of the questioning and discussing. I totaled it up, and we interviewed at least 19 missions/church leaders, 6 of those Indians, some Europeans, one Guatemalan, two Africans, the rest Americans. From nine organizations. Doing church planting through several strategies, sometimes incompatible with each other.
Lots to process. Especially the "contextualization" thing, to a lesser extent, just where to work. The responses to posts below that try to keep a "Christian" a Christian for indentity sake are missing the point. That name was given to "us" be outsiders (at Antioch) and had nothing to do inherently with following Christ. The Great Commisson does not read: "Go and make Christians...." You know what it says. Disciples. That's the only identity we need, and that takes a lot of external forms.

Glad to hear that you are back home and everything went rather smoothly. It is also great to hear that you and Grant were able to have several more meetings, listen, and experience how God has been working in India.

As for the food..I'm jealous...because Indian food rocks. Ashley and I have somewhat recently become vegetarians (I think it is in the California water :) and Indian restaurants are a great place to go for copious amounts of non-meat meal choices.
